You have probably seen several different map projections, and maybe an upside-down map. The maps shown here are not new projections, but just show the earth in a different (rotated) reference frame. Try pulling the north pole down or the south pole up! Imagine spinning the globe. Every frame uses the same projection, but with a different location centered.
